Stephen Evans Photography was established in December 1997; after Stephen had worked for local studios in the Birmingham area.

After redunduncy in the engineering industry; he retrained as a full-time professional photographer by attending local colleges and freelancing for Finnish newsapers. He then established work contacts with people already in the profession in the UK.

Customers are at the core of everything the business does, with the desire to continually improve and always to do better for clients.

Stephen is qualified Licentiate member of the British Institute of
Professional Photography. He gained his professional qualification in wedding photography in 2004.  Stephen is passionate about photographing people not just at weddings but in a studio situation or on location.

Through photography assignments, he meets many interesting people from the man in the street to local politicians to ambassadors and royalty.

Whether you are the man or woman  in the street or a VIP; the same care, the same polite manners and attention to detail  are what you can expect..

 Stephen periodically participates in  the BIPP Midland Region Annual Print competition, previously he has gained two merit certificates in what is a very popular professional event which has a wide following. He is married to Finnish born journalist, author and teacher Katariina Kare.
In June 2010 he also qualified to lecture in photography in adult education colleges in addition to photographing commissions for private individuals, companies and  charities.
